Licensing & Usage

Ownership

All photographs remain the exclusive property of JG Photo unless otherwise agreed in writing. Purchasing a license does not transfer copyright.

License Grant

Upon payment, the client is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the specified image(s) under the agreed terms below.

Permitted Use

Unless otherwise stated in the invoice or contract, licensed images may be used for:

  • Website and social media content

  • Digital advertising (organic and paid)

  • Editorial use (blogs, articles, press releases)

  • Internal marketing materials

Restricted Use (unless additional license is purchased)

The following uses are not permitted without explicit written permission:

  • Resale or redistribution of the image

  • Use in stock photography libraries

  • Use in NFTs or AI training datasets

  • Use on physical merchandise (apparel, packaging, posters, etc.)

  • Use in broadcast, film, or large-scale commercial campaigns

Duration of License

Licenses are granted for:

  • 12 months

  • 24 months

  • Perpetual (if purchased)

After expiration, continued use requires renewal of the license.

Territory

Usage rights are limited to:

  • Worldwide

  • Specific regions: [e.g., USA / Australia / etc.]

Exclusivity (Optional Upgrade)

  • Standard license: non-exclusive (image may be licensed to others)

  • Exclusive license: image will not be licensed to any other party for the agreed duration and usage scope

Credit (if applicable)

Where reasonable, the client agrees to credit:

Credit is required for editorial use unless waived in writing.

Editing & Alterations

Minor cropping or resizing is permitted. Any major alterations (filters, compositing, AI modification, etc.) require written permission.

Payment & Fees

  • Licensing fees are payable in full before use

  • Additional usage outside the agreed scope will require a new license and an additional fee

Breach of Terms

Unauthorized use beyond this license may result in:

  • Immediate invoicing at standard commercial rates (plus penalty fees)

  • Legal action if necessary
